The Blue Idol Quaker Meeting is held at the historic 17th century Blue
Idol Meeting House in West Sussex. William Penn, a Quaker and founder
of Pennsylvania, worshipped at the Blue Idol. William Penn walked the
four miles from his home in Warminghurst, Sussex to the Blue Idol to
worship. The Blue Idol is an imporant part of local history in West
Sussex.
All visitors are welcome.
The Blue Idol is open to visitors between 2pm to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and Saturday (closed Friday and Sunday). Visitors can also visit at other times including weekends by prior arrangement with our wardens, Allan and Pauline Cook. Tel: 01403 740174

From the A29, turn east onto the A272 at Coneyhurst turn right into Oldhouse Lane, the Blue Idol is about 100 yards on the left hand side.
